- Description
Our private clients are seeking a live-in Housekeeper/Cook with extensive travel for their high-end, 6-bedroom property with pool, gym and multiple living areas in Virginia Water. The housekeeper will work alongside other household staff within the main residence.
Duties will include:
- All housekeeping to a very high standard including carefully cleaning and caring for fine finishes/ materials/ furniture in the home, as well as the laundering of vintage clothing (including by hand, where required).
- Daily and batch cooking for the family when the clients are not travelling
- Household errands (locally)
- Travelling regularly with the principals to their overseas residences in Europe and US
- Frequent travel to their flat in West London when in residence there
- Any other domestic duties related to the upkeep and smooth running of the property (e.g. allowing mid-week access to the property for contractors).
- Collect/drop-off clients to London Heathrow Airport as required (a car will be provided for business usage such as this) (c.20mins from property).
The workload for this will be varied throughout the year depending on whether the clients are in residence or not, some periods will be more demanding and require longer working hours, but this will be compensated by calmer periods with a smaller workload and days in lieu, where less working hours will be required.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and have great initiative so they can manage their workload and maintain high standards without supervision. Applicants must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role and be a confident cook.
A driver a must. Fluent English is a must; Portuguese would be a plus, but not a barrier to applying.
Working days & hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm + weekend availability when principals are in residence. Worked weekends will be given back as (midweek) time in lieu.
Accommodation: Self-contained flat/annex on site (bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living area)
Start date: September 2024
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 gross per year (DOE)
