On behalf of our private clients, we are looking for a dedicated and flexible Live-in nanny to help care for their baby, born in August 2024. The ideal candidate will be positive, proactive, and hardworking, with a self-starting attitude. The nanny should also be a team player, as the family employs a housekeeper.
This is a shared care role, as both parents are at home— the mother is very present with the baby, and the father works from a home office. The baby is happy and in a good routine, and the family would like him to attend classes, groups, playdates, and activities. The current maternity nurse will be leaving at the end of May, and ideally, there will be a handover period to ensure a smooth transition for the new nanny.
The family has a friendly, well-trained 4-year-old Golden Retriever with a dog walker, so the nanny must be comfortable around dogs.
When the family travels, the nanny may be required to accompany them depending on the situation. Travel will be minimal in the first year due to work commitments but may increase over time.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for the baby.
- Organising age-appropriate activities, classes, and playdates.
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the baby.
- Managing all nursery-related duties, including tidying and laundry.
- Offering overnight baby monitor support (rarely required).
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts with flexibility to accommodate family commitments.
Accommodation: Offered only on duties (Live-out during weekend) Private bedroom and bathroom provided.
Salary: £60 - £65k gross per annum (depending on experience).
Start Date: May 2025 (with a transition handover period).
Unless otherwise specified, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
