- Our private clients are seeking a Live-in/out Head Housekeeper/House Manager to oversee all housekeeping/ household operations of a newly renovated large-scale, high-end property equipped with indoor pool, gym, spa, cinema room, multiple bedroom suites and large living spaces.
The role will entail managing a team of 4 Housekeepers plus hands-on duties to provide a seamless service to the principals and ensure the smooth running and immaculate upkeep of the property. The Head Housekeeper/House Manager will work closely with the Estate Manager in the first 6-12 months to gain an in-depth knowledge about the property and its functions, technical systems etc. so that clear processes can be put in place. In support of this the client has invested in a House Management system (Software) that is designed to manage the house calendar/ required tasks/ inventory & stock/ maintenance and internal staff communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service across the property. Liaise with security staff, drivers, and gardening staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Housekeeping/Laundry & Service: When required take on hands-on housekeeping/laundry/wardrobe management/ food preparation duties, errands, shopping etc
- Administrative Duties: Manage inventory, procurement, and timesheet administration via House Management software, create staffing rotas and oversee the property calendar to ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Process/Procedure Development: Work closely with the Estate Manager to establish and refine the property’s household /housekeeping processes, creating manuals and working guidelines for other staff and delivering training on these.
Client Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion while working closely with the client to ensure all their needs are met and consistent high standards are reached whilst maintaining a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere. Meeting, greeting, and caring for guests within the home.
- Event Organisation & Management: Undertaking personal projects as directed by the principals and organising and managing family and household events when required which will include recruitment of temporary staff, outsourcing equipment/catering, uniforms etc and generally taking a lead on events within the property.
Applicants must have 5+ years in high-end private households and have previous experience as a hands-on Head Housekeeper who has also taken on house management duties. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a property of this spec and scale and have experience in creating/implementing efficient housekeeping processes. It is essential that the candidate is highly discreet, respecting the family’s private space within their home and being able to work in the background without supervision to consistently deliver impeccable standards and seamless service. Fluent English is essential, it would be a bonus if the candidate also speaks Italian/Russian.
Working days & hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (with flexibility upon request/when required)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Depending on experience and whether live-in or live-out
