On behalf of a family located in the Philippines, we are seeking a Travelling Teacher/Governess, to support the development of the family’s 3 children aged 5 years.
Duration of assignment: To begin, the position will be a 4-month-fixed term contract, from July-October 2025, with the possibility of extending to permanent.
The family request that the successful candidate accompany them to their two residences in the Philippines and their home in Europe over the Summer months of July-October.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role or as qualified teacher looking to transition their skillset and experience to a private household. The candidate will demonstrate an excellent ability to prepare a well-rounded schedule that encourages the children’s interests whilst also supporting educational focused learning of core subjects. The family request that the successful applicant is native English speaker.
All 3 children attend an international school during school-term. The family have fully staffed homes that contribute to the smooth running of their homes. Therefore, the candidate will not be required to undertake driving, cooking or nursery duties for the children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Travel to different locations, including students’ homes, temporary learning spaces, or travel destinations, ensuring continuity in education.
- Foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional development of young learners.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including play-based learning, storytelling, music, and hands-on activities.
- Assess and monitor students' progress through observations, informal assessments, and developmental checklists. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on the child’s learning progress and offer guidance for at-home learning support.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Encourage curiosity, independence, and critical thinking through interactive and experiential learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring children’s well-being during lessons and travel.
- Collaborate with other educators, caregivers, or tutors when needed to enhance the learning experience.

Salary: £5,000 USD Monthly
Start date: End of June/Beginning of July
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
