Live-out Chef in Chelsea

A great chef is required for a small family mainly based in Chelsea. While the primary focus will be on cooking, there will be some degree of service (though a Butler is also present most of the time) and assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen. The chef will also be required to make simple lunches for house staff as required.

The family will likely spend school terms in London and typically go to Europe in the summer. They are seeking someone full-time (5 days per week) whenever they are in residence, either in London or France, with the possibility of some travel to the US as needed. There will probably be rotation, at weekends or mid week to suit, with a part-time chef.

Cooking duties: The Chef should be proficient in various types of cuisine, particularly French and Italian, with some knowledge of Asian dishes. The meals must be healthy, nutritious, and simple, with occasional preparation of cakes and desserts.

Household responsibilities: In collaboration with the Butler the Chef will be responsible for food shopping and cost control, ensuring stock levels of essential ingredients, and managing the kitchen provisions generally.

Additional requirements: Must be an EU national with a full driving licence and French language proficiency would be desirable.

Working hours: The Chef must be flexible with working hours and be able to integrate into a busy household team.

Salary: Negotiable, between £70K and £80K gross per year

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
