- On behalf of our esteemed client, we are now seeking an experienced Domestic Couple for a historic private property in Stirling, Scotland.
This is a large secondary residence, used by the main Principals about two weekends a months, and by their extended Family approximately 4 months a year in total. You will be managing a picturesque estate in a vibrant city, located between Edinburgh and Glasgow airport, close to all amenities.
The ideal Domestic Couple is discreet and well organised, with excellent housekeeping and grounds-keeping skills.
As the accommodation provided is a 4-bedroom cottage, this would be a fantastic opportunity for a couple with dependants (as long as full time childcare is in place and the work required at the house is not affected).
Duties:
Interior (housekeeping, laundry, ironing, caring for antiques and artworks)
Simple, family style cooking, exploring a variety of cuisines
Exterior (grounds keeping, gardening)
The ability to grow vegetables would be a bonus
Regularly looking out for maintenance issues (given the age of the property), and arranging contractors
Dog caring (a friendly Cocker-Spaniel will leave with you in the cottage)
Occasional chauffeuring duties
Use of the house car for personal use is permitted.
Ideal couple:
Experienced, discreet, great team workers
Flexible and adaptable
Good fitness level (due to the size of the property)
Must not be adverse to hunting, shooting, fishing, etc.,..
Able to organise their own time efficiently
Great attention to details
Dog-friendly
- Driving Licence (both individuals)
Accommodation: 1 x 4 bedroom cottage, including utility bills. No own pets allowed.
Dependants allowed, as long as School/Nursery/suitable childcare is in place, and it does not interfere with the required household work.
Start Date: Before Christmas
Salary: £65K gross per annum
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
