Our VVIP private client is seeking a live-out Head Housekeeper for their Grade 1 listed property located in Belgravia. The property is one of the principals second residences, and whilst the top floor is residential (and will be used infrequently), the rest of the building is reserved for business purposes and the other floors consist of high-end office type spaces including private and shared offices, board rooms and meeting rooms. The principal has an ever-changing schedule, so will be in residence as and when, often arriving at short notice so a big part of this role is always maintaining immaculate standards so that the entire building is always ready and prepared for the arrival of the principal or his colleagues, associates, and guests.
Duties will include
- Regular floor walks of entire building to log any issues/actions that need to be taken to ensure immaculate standards are maintained
- Ensuring the housekeeper SOP is kept up to date
- Communicating effectively and work collaboratively with line manager and other team members
- Managing a team of housekeeper (2 full-time and 1 part-time), creating rota’s and working schedules, setting standards, monitoring the team to ensure all duties are being undertaken and providing training and support where needed.
- To be responsible for upkeep and cleaning maintenance of the property, including but not limited to pantries, washrooms, corridors, meeting rooms, communal areas as well as any necessary assistance within the office space
- Specialist cleaning care of original features such as Victorian wood panelling, antique wooden floors as well as caring for fine art, precious materials including marble, wool/silk rugs etc
- Stock takes and ordering of cleaning materials, pantry essentials
- Perform any ad hoc duties requested by the site manager or client
Applicants must have an exceptional eye for detail and have 5+ years previous experience working as a housekeeper for VIP/HNW clients in luxury properties. It is crucial that candidates are highly discreet and have the upmost respect for the client’s privacy and confidentiality.
Working hours: 06:30 – 15:30/ 10:00 – 19:00

Salary: £37,000 gross per year (negotiable DOE)
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
