Live-in Lady’s Maid in Oxfordshire

Our returning UHNW clients are seeking a Lady’s Maid for their residence on Oxfordshire plus travel overseas. This is a fully staffed household.

Duties will include -

• The complete care of the Principal’s wardrobe including extensive wardrobe management/ organising, packing/unpacking for travel, laundry and pressing including delicates/ hand washing, caring for all accessories, logging clothing for travel/events, minor repairs, dry cleaning when necessary etc


• The care and cleaning of the main bedroom suite.


• Keeping in order of the dressing table, stock and supply of cosmetics and toiletries.


• Ensuring the bed linen and towels are changed as required, laundering and pressing of the sheets and towels.


• Personal shopping for the Principal as instructed.


• To prepare bedrooms in the evening i.e., close curtains, turn down beds etc.


• Occasional cooking


• Service duties


• Travelling with the Principal as required.


• Some housekeeping in the absence of Housekeeper


• Reporting to Head Butler/ Principal


• Following the morning and evening routine as per the protocols currently in place.


• Travelling to family properties

Essential Role Requirements –

• The candidate must drive and have their own car.  For any driving for work purposes there is the use of a pool car.


• Can travel without restrictions


• Fluent English Speaking


• Proven previous experience as a Lady’s Maid for UHNW client.


• Hold an up-to-date DBS check

Accommodation: Three-bedroom self-contained house a short drive from the Estate.  (Council tax paid (at single occupancy rate only), water paid and service allowance paid as a contribution towards other bills.) Partners may be considered.

Working days & hours: 5 ½ days week, days on a rota basis (to include weekends when the roster dictates).  The principal ordinarily gives two days off per week and the additional ½ day is only when the household is very busy. 

Start date: May 2025

Salary: £50,000 gross per year (may be negotiable DOE)

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
