Live-in Junior Houseman in Oxfordshire

Our returning HNW clients are seeking a flexible and professional Houseman for their fully staffed residence based near Henley-on-Thames.

The idea candidate will be a well-presented all-rounder with a positive, can-do attitude who can grow with the role.

Working in a fully staffed, formal property, you will report to the Head Butler and Caretaker/Driver and work 5.5 days per week rostered in advance. 28 days holiday per annum

Duties (not limited to):

Exterior caretaking to include:

• Steps


• De-cobwebbing


• Sweeping


• Blowing


• Wiping down


• Collecting firewood for the house from the gardeners


• Dog walking

Interior maintenance caretaking to include:

• Cleaning fireplaces under the instruction from the Head Butler


• Pantry work, for example cleaning silver and glassware


• Driving


• Serving


• Assisting with shoots


• Helping with boats

Ideal candidate: 

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role


• Full/clean driving licence


• Dog friendly


• Clean DBS check 


• Valid passport 

Start date: ASAP

Accommodation: self-contained & private within or near the property

Days & Hours:  07:30 until 12 and 2 until 5.30 five days per week; 07:30 until 12 or 2 until 5.30 one day per week (flexibility with hours is paramount)

Salary: £25-35k gross per year

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
