Live-in Housekeeper in Hampshire

Our returning clients are seeking a live-in Housekeeper for their modern family home located near Newbury, Hampshire. The property is occupied by 3 adults, 2 pet dogs and a cat, and occasionally guests and other family members. The family’s current Housekeeper is retiring after being with the family for 10 years.

Duties will include all hands-on housekeeping duties; tidying, cleaning, laundry, ironing, changing bed linens, organisation of the home, occasional food prep, pet care, errand running, household shopping, periodic deep cleaning and any other duty in relation to the upkeep and smooth running of the home. It is important that the Housekeeper enjoys ironing and can do this at good pace as there can often be lots of ironing to tackle. It is also important that the Housekeeper is pet friendly and is happy to pet sit a few evenings a week (when the clients travel to their second residence) and when the family travel. This role would suit somebody who is highly tidy and organised and takes pride in everything being in its right place as the family highly value this organised approach within the home. Applicants who have some basic sewing skills and happy to undertake minor clothing repairs would be welcomed. Being a driver is a must for this role. 

Working days & hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (with a lunch break)

Accommodation: Self-contained 1 bedroom flat with bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen/living space (private entrance but attached to main house. Partners welcome) 

Start date: February/March 2025

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 gross per year (depending on experience)

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
