- Description
Our HNW private family is seeking an experienced family housekeeper/cook for their West London family home.
This is a busy family of (5) mum, dad (2) grown up children and (1) school aged child, their home is a beautiful, detached house with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms.
The ideal housekeeper/cook will similar previous experience, be self-motivated, reliable, dedicated, loyal, a good communicator and able to work autonomously and independently. Making sure the house is kept nicely and securely every day and produced to a comfortable and high standard.
Working Day(s)/hour(s): Monday-Friday, 09:00am to 7:00pm - Average 9 hours per day with lunch break.
Occasional travel to family’s countryside residence and London babysitting (with notice given).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Usual housekeeping duties including cleaning of marble, brass and fine furniture
- Sweep, back and front paved gardens
- In summer months, take care of plants in the back garden
- Restocking and replenishing logs, coal and kindling throughout the house
- Purchasing/ changing/ watering household flowers /plants
- Family laundry and wardrobe management including delicate hand washing and ironing
- Dry cleaning drop-off and collection
- Responsible for grocery shopping / stock control
- Keeping fridge clean and discarding out-of-date items
- Support when the family are entertaining
- Preparing and cooking healthy meals daily.
- Making sure varied and balanced meals are prepared – and snacks, lunch boxes and water bottles for the children are provided as and when needed.
- School/ playdate/activity runs
- Staying over at the London property from time to time when the family are on holiday for security purposes and to look after the pets.
Requirements:
- Due to the nature of the role an Enhanced DBS will be required or must be happy to apply for one
- Holidays: Holidays to be taken around family schedule and commitments.
- Christmas and Summer guaranteed time off.
Salary: Up to £55k gross per year (depending on experience and skills set)
The Housekeeper /Cook will have access to Staff Facilities

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
