Description

On behalf of our private clients, two lovely families, we are looking for an experienced Teacher for their two children in Mustique in St Vincent & The Grenadines.


A unique opportunity to live and work on the stunning island of Mustique, working with two families teaching two children aged 4 and 5 based on a UK curriculum. Additionally, engage in nursery-style activities with two younger children, aged 1 and 2. This position is ideal for an early years’ teacher or teaching assistant looking for an adventurous, sunshine-filled career break.


The ideal Teacher will have the following:



  • Experience teaching early years or Key Stage 1 (KS1).

  • Energetic, reliable, and trustworthy.

  • Enthusiastic and resourceful, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to a remote setting.

  • Possesses a sense of humour and adventure.

  • Enjoys nature and embraces a slower, tranquil lifestyle.


Please Note - Family is travelling July and August, so the Teacher will not be required to work


 


Sample Daily Schedule: Monday to Friday


8:00 am – 10:00 am: Lessons with the 4 and 5-year-old children (they may then attend the island school until 1 pm).


10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Early years/nursery games with the 1 and 2-year-old children.


3:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Extracurricular activities with the 4 and 5-year-olds (e.g., lessons at the beach, art, music, drama, or sports).


 


Responsibilities:



  • Teach a UK-based curriculum to two children (ages 4 and 5) to prepare them for UK schools.

  • Engage in early years/nursery-style games with two younger children (ages 1 and 2).

  • Organize creative extracurricular activities such as beach lessons, art, music, drama, and sports.

  • Adapt teaching methods to suit a small island environment with limited resources.

  • Foster a fun, energetic, and proactive learning environment.


Accommodation: room ensuite in the house


Salary: around £30 per hour – negotiable for the right candidate (for this particular role, must be on self-employed basis)


Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
