Mandarin-speaking ROTA Governess in Regent’s Park

On behalf of our private clients, we are currently seeking a professional and experienced Mandarin-speaking ROTA Governess to join their household in Regent’s Park. The role involves working alongside other nannies to care for three children: an 8-year-old girl and two 2-year-old boys.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and related industries, a worldly perspective, and a passion for fostering growth and independence in children. Strong character qualities are necessary for the position, including patience, flexibility, responsibility, and dependability, as well as a passion for teaching and creating engaging lesson plans. Fluency in Mandarin is essential, and the governess must be able to travel frequently with the family on domestic and international trips to ensure the children’s routine and education are maintained.

Duties:

• Providing tailored academic support, helping children understand key concepts from their lessons and assignments.


• Designing and delivering customized educational activities that cater to each child’s unique needs, strengths, and interests.


• Assisting with homework, projects, test preparation, and other academic tasks.


• Teaching Mandarin in an engaging way, incorporating grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills alongside cultural lessons and fun activities.


• Encouraging the children to develop independence, positive habits, and strong personalities.


• Guiding problem-solving through critical thinking and curiosity-driven learning.


• Collaborating with parents and the household team to enhance the children’s development and performance.


• Traveling with the family and ensuring the children’s educational continuity and routine during trips.

Requirements:

• BA in education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.


• Experience in elementary education is an advantage.


• Eligibility to work in Europe is preferred.

Working Hours: ROTA: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 24-hour cover during working weeks.

Salary: £55 - £90k gross per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
