Description

On behalf of our private family based in Maida Vale, we are looking for a Full-time Live-Out Nanny to look after a 1 year old boy and a newborn due in Mid-January.


A maternity nurse will assist for the first three months after the newborn's arrival.


The ideal nanny will be experienced, flexible and experienced in travelling with the family. Knowledge of the French language would be a bonus. 


Responsibilities:



  • Childcare:


    • Provide dedicated care for a 1-year-old boy and a newborn due mid-January. A maternity nurse will assist for the first three months after the newborn's arrival.

    • Perform all nursery duties, including feeding, bathing, dressing, weaning if applicable, potty training, and diaper changes.

    • Plan and organize engaging, age-appropriate activities.

    • Ensure a consistent and healthy sleep routine, including putting the child down for naps.

    • Maintain a clean and organized living and play area for the child.

    • Monitor the child's health and development, reporting any concerns to the parents.

    • Develop and implement structured plans to support the child's growth and milestones.

    • Prepare nutritious, light meals tailored to the child's needs.


  • Travel:


    • Exhibit flexibility to travel with the family, including long-distance trips. Experience in managing travel logistics for young children and handling jetlag is preferred.


  • Collaboration:


    • Work harmoniously with other household staff, including a full-time housekeeper (Monday to Friday).

    • Be comfortable with the family dog and integrate pet care as needed.



Schedule:



  • Monday to Saturday from 8am to 7:30pm, with 2-3 evenings of babysitting/overnight care per week.


Requirements:



  • Experienced and kind, with familiarity in Montessori education being a plus.

  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities for 1-year-olds.

  • Proven experience in caring for infants and toddlers.

  • Flexible and willing to travel with the family, accommodating rigorous schedules during travel.

  • Comfortable with the family's dog.

  • CPR and First Aid certified.

  • Ability to work well with other household staff.


Salary: £225 per day, with £300 for 24-hour coverage (to be discussed with the family.)
