Role:
On behalf of our private client we are seeking an experienced, animal-loving Live-in Housekeeper / Dog Nanny to join their large converted farmhouse set in a peaceful countryside location. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys rural living, loves dogs, and takes pride in maintaining a well-run home.
This role would suit a dedicated, experienced Housekeeper who is looking for a long-term position in a beautiful countryside setting and who enjoys being part of a friendly family environment.
Responsibilities:
Housekeeping
- Full housekeeping duties for a large family home (4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms)
- Laundry, washing, and ironing
- General cleaning and household organisation
- Assisting with housekeeping duties within the family's new wellness centre located on the grounds
- Working alongside an additional cleaner when required
- Clearing up after dinner and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
Dog Care
- Daily care of two well-loved family dogs:
- English Cocker Spaniel (10 years old)
- Labradoodle (9 years old)
- Walking the dogs twice daily
- Providing companionship, care, and attention
- Accompanying the family and dogs on occasional travel
Childcare Support
- Occasional nannying support when required
- Assisting with visits from the family's young grandchildren (ages 3 and 1, with a new baby expected)
- Ensuring a child-friendly and caring approach
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years' previous experience in a similar housekeeping role
- Genuine animal lover with strong dog-care experience
- Enjoys long walks and outdoor activities
- Child-friendly and comfortable around young children
- Confident driver (car provided)
- Flexible, proactive, and organised
- Basic cooking skills would be beneficial but are not essential
- EU passport holder with the legal right to work in the Netherlands and travel within Europe
Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 8 hours per day (occasional weekends)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £35K per annum
Accommodation: Private self-contained studio apartment (brand new, all bills included)
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
